i have nitto trail grapplers. if you do any time in the mud i highly recommend them. the duratracs are popular on here for sure though. many people seem to love them. if you do alot of highway time those would probably be your best bet.

I cant say for all the other tires since I only have the BFG KM2's, but these are great tires although it really doesnt snow or get icy here in the desert. Good luck with your decision!

I went with the BFG-AT. they are quiet and handle well on the road. They also have the "snow-flake" rating for winter use. I don't drive in wet clay so don't know how much they would clog up. Any tire with lugs for mud are going to make some noise - maybe not for the first 10K miles but will get louder as they get more miles on them! The GY-MT/Rs that I had on my Cherokee felt like they had tractor treads at 20K miles.

I put on the Duratracs and was so happy with them I put them on my pick-up. I've hit mud, snow and ice in them and they handle great. They are also good on the pavement...just enough noise to make you want to hit the trails.

I picked these up an have been very satisfied.
FIERCE ATTITUDE M/T(owned by Goodyear)
$209 a tire, made in USA. 35x12.5x17
http://www.fiercetires.com/tires/attitude-mt/index.html
Used them in hardpack dirt, rock crawling (Uwharrie NF), shallow wet mud (local logging trails), 8-12" of snow last week, Sand(Corolla nc outer banks), and on the highway for 6-8 hours at a time.
Did a good job clearing mud and snow. They are quieter than expected when aired up too, no loud hum on the highway with soft top on or off.
Shoot me a PM if there are any specific questions I could answer.

I've ran good year 35x12.50x15 MTRs on my last two jeeps, my current is a jk unlimited rubi, and im on my 2nd set of these. The first lasted me 29000 miles and still had 1/3 of the tread, sold them to a friend with a cj. They got noisy at about 20k but no issues, no flats, and I wheel pretty hard in the rocks.

I like my Pro comp AT XT tires, very aggresive for an AT 40,000mi warranty.
You can get blems at 4wheel drive hardware, ask for bryan Hart he sold me mine with sweet wheels for nearly the same price as some tires alone
