Tire Help
So im really liking my first jeep (2013 automatic jku oscar mike). I just want bigger tires. My gears 3.21 are my hold back. How foolish am I to get some trail grapplers in 295/70/17 or 285/75/17. I was thinking at, but I love the mud tire aggressive profile. The 295 is roughly 33.3 and 285 is 34. Would one be better than other in regards to my gearing?

Depends on what you intend to do, where you intend to drive. If your 100% highway flat ground shouldn't be a problem. If your goin to do some wheelin I would stay as close to the 33s as possible.

Mostly around town driving. I do a couple interstate trips a month. Im leaning toward 295 trail grappler. Its smaller diameter but weighs more than the 285 trail grap. For someone like myself with 3.21 gears, whats the best route? A larger diameter tire that weighs less or smaller diameter weighing more?

I dont need anything. Its a matter of my opinion. In my opinion, my current tire size look like mounted doughnuts. Im just hoping for personal experience on how big I can go and it be manageable. If its going to cause transmission harm or other failures, I will have to live with current setup.

The Nitto website has weight info, but I know (remember when I was looking for tires) both those tires are fairly light compared to 33/12.5 and 35/12.5 because they don't have the width. That's what I was going to go with but found a good deal on MT Baja MTZ that I could not pass up.
