I've got 37" mtrk's while they do well off-road they have a tendency to wander a lil but onroad and couple of them took quite a few more weight to balance than the others.

I'm gonna give the Nittos trail grapplers a try on my next set of tires

Check out Mastercraft MXT's. They have a 37X12.50R17. Mine are not 37's, but I have 25K on them and they still look new. Ride good, quiet, aggressive... They are also very cheap. The 37 I mentioned only costs 270 dollars, so you can get 5 of them for only 1350 bucks. Oh, and Mastercraft is a Cooper tire. Search for Mastercraft MXT on this site. There are a few threads on them. Best MT i've ever owned. Someone also mentioned weight, well, they only weight 73 pounds. That's less than a Toyo 33X12.50. Chew on that for a minute.

In terms of wear, the Nitto and toyo are similar. Offroad, the Nitto is notably better.

MTRs are not a tire you want in a 37 if you want many trouble free miles. The more wear, the more balance issues you have. Plus, you won't get nearly the mileage out of them. And other than mud, the Nittos are better offroad.

Duratracs are sweet, but don't come in a 37. The new BFG KO I believe does. I have no direct or indirect experience with that one, but I've heard good things.

I've hear a lot that this tire and that tire are good. The Cooper STT for example. I just haven't soon the proof offroad. I don't doubt they are great street tires though.

I have a lot if miles on my second set of stts. They are an excellent street tire. Good in mud, good in snow, and great in rocks. I run a local club and have put them through their paces. They have seen Rausch creek, bds off road, southington, and a lot of local trails, I raced them on a dirt track that had an obstacle course also without one sidewall failure. I have been very happy with them. I also avg. 12000 miles per year on the road, hauling atvs, and a pop up.

Got the 37x12.50x17 STT Pro's put on yesterday. They measure right at 36" sitting under the front end of my 4door (on a 9" rim at 28psi). A good 1/2" taller than the 37" Falkens they replaced. And not much louder, surprisingly quiet so far for a much more aggressive tread.
Post up some pics. I am definitely curious how these hold up off road, expecially sidewall strength.

How many miles are you getting out of the 37" rockers?
