A 35 inch tire will fi in the back. I love that look. You could build a cover for it so you can still throw stuff in it.

On my 07, I used the smittybilt oversize tire carrier with 35" tires and it worked great. I don't think it's that much, but haven't looked at the price. I wheeled all over the place with it and no issues.
