True! But they started with a Dana 44, and you have a Dana 30. The extra cost to upgrade to a Dana 60 once you are upgrading axles, instead of upgrading to a Dana 44, is minimal. Might as well do it right. I just read Invest2m4's list of broken or worn out Dana 44 parts in 6 months of use. My list of broken or worn out parts in the last six months with my Dynatrac Dana 60s is. ... nothing.

Seriously, I run 25 on the street. Running 18 off road has to be rough.

I have a 44 rear and 30 front so going 44's means upgrading just the front. Going 60 means both new axles.

All a 44 front gives you is a larger ring gear. That little axle is not good for more than 35s. Even then, if you wheel hard, you will blow through parts.

The stock rockwell shafts are no good. 17 spline I think? There's an option to run 47 spline rockwell RCVs on the 2005+ super duty D60 though.

Was suggesting the 5ton version not the 2.5ton.

50 spline or nothing. Go big or go home as they say.
