Default The time to mod is comming

Well boys and girls, i posted to 31s on Craigslist today. I am going to face my fears and turn my 2013 Gecko Jk into a lifted beast on 35s. Id like to go with an AEV 2.5 inch lift, duratrac 35s, regear from 3.21 to 4.10 and build my custom bumpers and use a free hood i got to make a badass project hood. No real motive for posting but im excited and need jeep community support. Any advice for me on making a DD turn to the wild side?

Sounds good but I would go ahead and regear to 4.56 if I were you. And since you'll need a new carrier up front might as well put a trutrac up front as well

Tru trac is a locker. People say if you are ever going to get lockers, do it while you are re-gearing because then you don't have to pay the labor twice to pull the axle apart.

Also, to put the 4:10s in, you have to get a new carrier for the front anyway so putting in the tru trac in would be one way to do that and you'd get a locker on top of it all.

The question is do you really want a locker and would you use it.

I am looking at a re-gear currently and deciding if I want to get a locker or not. Have to get quotes and see what prices are with and without the tru trac.

Not a locker but rather an awesome limited slip. With the 3.21 gear ratio you'll need to get a new carrier so instead of wasting money on a new open carrier I would just get a limited slip up front. It will increase your offroad prowlness quite a bit

Right. I should not have said locker as it is not actually a locker. If you google trutrac, here is what comes up and it's a great explanation of the workings of the trutrac.

After looking real wuick i think i would just want to go with full lockers like whatever comes in a rudi. 100% to all tires or whatever. Seems like a limited slip is kinda half ass... Idk

Consider the ARB air locker set up then... Great lockers
