my steering wheel "clunks" when i turn side to side, and it's been doing it for over a year now, and nothing has broke, so I think it's ok. someone told me that it is something to do with not enough grease somewhere in the steering, but i'm not sure.

Are your tires rubing on the Frame when you turn?

I am running 37s and thats what was happening to me before I put on some spacers. It still rubs a little when turning all the way.

Hopefully it's not the track bar, if it is it's probably the welds that coming loose. check the bracket that is welded to the axle. I would bet it's just the steering needing grease, and that will be fine if that is all it is.

good luck and let us know what you find out.

Man I have this same issue!
I notice when it's cold it does it more. Sometimes it wont happen for a day but then when it does I can make it do it on demand. My fear is the day I make the appointment to bring it to the dealership it wont do it.

I was thiinking of re-torquing everything and seeing if its still there. I think mine came about once I got the 2.5 BB. It is annoying though.

Here's the pics. Same issue that the GM trucks have had for years. Very simple fix. Note that this will cure the slight "popping" you may feel in the wheel, if you have a thumping noise, could be something else.

It needed to be tightened on the drivers side. It was clunking upon turning. Does anyone know if this happens periodically. I have a Full Traction adjustable bar.
