Thumping coming from rear after SRC install
I am getting a loud thumping sound when I hit bumps on the road. It only started happening after I installed my rear SRC.
- I trimmed the fender plastic so it wont be touching the bumper.
- I have a MBRP spare tire bracket on order (currently using washers) to push the spare tire out.
any other suggestions?

My PJ bumper makes that same noise after a hard wheeling trip; you'll have to play with the adjustment a little until you can get it to not hit the body. If you look at the rear corners closest to the bumper, you'll see where it is hitting the body. Once you get it right, I recommend that you mark it with a sharpie or some paint to make re-aligning it easier after a hard impact on the trails.

I have seen several bumpers that let the body pinch weld contact the bumpers frame support. In fact, the only bumper I have seen that has a radius made in the frame support to clear the pinch weld is Expedition One. Check your pinch weld area to see where you will need to trim the bumper, then take the bumper back off, radius the area where it is contacting the pinch weld, and reinstall it. You may have an eigth of an inch clearance now, but the body mounts compress when you hit bumps, and the body hits the bumpers frame support.
