Throttle Body Spacer????? Worth it? or not?
Are throttle body spacers going to give you enough horsepower for the buck? If so what brand would you recomend?

Many have and the benefit is at a very high rpm, and that is MINIMAL benefit. When you add volume to the intake you will lose low end torque (lose air speed, what we use most). It's like a sea-saw. Overall it's useless to the 3.8L, no benefit, they are good money waster and noise makers though...
This holds true for most of today's engines. Carb spacers used to work because it promoted air/fuel to the engine. Again, high rpm gain, low end drop...

For me, it's knowing what it is designed to do, and how it can't do it for fuel that's injected so far down the line.
My opinion comes from having read so many reports that it was ineffective.
I may change my opinion if someone will post several closely timed before and after dynos that show it does some good.

Usefulness would do it for me. It'd drop torque at daily cruising rpms. Disadvantage to 99% of the JKs on the road. Unless you are taching it out at every light
