Thoughts on ORfab Rock slider rear bumper?
Saw the bumper in person this morning on my way to the office in another black JK like mine, and looked very good for being a tube bumper.
Is is sturdy enough to sustain some hits ? weight is perfect for what i want (70-75lbs) since i'm not looking to add a lot more weight for now, i have the Rockhard oil/trans skids in transit, and smittybilt oversized tire carrier that i'm picking up today, i'm staying with 33's for a big while so this is would it for now.
Thanks a lot.

How about the orfab sheet metal bumper? part# 83208, i don't want to open another thread regarding ORfab bumpers, and i'm trying to pick a decent rear bumper without having to pay $800-1000 for it. I want to buy a bumper today, help

This is just my opinion.
Bumpers, rock sliders, and skids are going to take the most beating when you are wheeling. Given that fact, these are the components that should be strongest. As soon as you talk about saving weight, the strength starts going down. While a tube bumper will be lighter, it will also be weaker.
I think you would be better off by shaving weight in other areas. Toss the back seat, dump the carpet and mats...
If you want real strength, go with LOD.

I have their front bumper, and I can say it is super beefy, very good quality fit and finish. I am very happy with it. I haven't gotten around to replacing the rear yet, but will likely go with their plate steel bumper.

Got the bumper installed today, fitted like a glove, easy install, paint was still drying, but dry enough to handle it
