Default Thoughts on this Draken tire carrier?

I found this tire carrier on eBay for only $200. It's made by Draken. Looks promising. What do you think?

What's the max tire size that can fit on there? How much weight can it hold? Not bad looking

I don't know. It's not in the eBay description. I have contacted them to find out.

Price looks awesome, but if you go to their ebay site and zoom on the carrier, it looks like the hinges have some fitment issues. I see some gap on the top mount bolt. Plus the finish of the open rails and hinges is a little too bare bones for my taste.

It might be golden for a year, but then starts squeaking like crazy. I wish the TF tire carrier was cheaper, but I know from having an issue with my lift that they stand behind their products 100%. That would be my concern here.

I'm sure its worth it for some as it is half the price though...

edit: Plus the tire carrier itself does not look to be adjustable. Also...what about a snubber to make sure the tire is snug and does not bounce around? You do realize the picture they show has the wheel mounted inside out for backspacing issues on the bumper I would assume.

Yes, I noticed the same things - especially the tire being mounted backward. These are the questions I asked them. I'll post their reply when I get it. Not sure this is worth the risk since I know the TF one is proven.

I don't think you can post the link here. The company is called drakenoffroad just add .com.

Their website is painful to browse and that "carrier" looks like a real POS.

Will be interesting to hear what feedback you get from the company.

The hinges look identical to the ones on the gate to my fence...
