Default For those with the Schrockworks stubby

I'm strongly considering ordering their stubby bumper. It's the best one I've seen yet. It's got all the options I'm looking for but I'm hung up on something and would like some opinions.

The stubby looks great but it leaves those front wheels/wheel wells/susp. components wide open. The loss of front end protection there concerns me.

For those that own the bumper, what are your thoughts on this?

The bumper ends at the tire the tire hits anything that a longer bumper would have hit and either stop you or you move up and over. I don't see any loss of protection

I love mine

i have the stubby and have no concerns

what kind of lack of protection are you concerned about

i mean i guess if you hit a deer on the free way and it will hit the tire now instead of a bumper, so there might be damage to the axle

the drawbacks of a stubby dont even begin to come close to its advantages

Plus, what kind of protection do you think you are getting with the stock bumper's flimsy wings. Plastic and tin foil?
