I still have my supercharger in a box but I ordered the CAI because I have an AEV hood. Here's some pics from ripp's site

Hasn't your filter gotten soaked? It sits right under the hood vents. I would rather spend $230 for reassurance

On the 3.6 the hose that attaches to the air filter in the regular kit just gets disconnected ? If you look at the pictures I posted from Ripp it's kinda just gaming out there. Any ideas

Water actually forms a film over that screen during a rain on AEV hood. I've been through automatic car wash as well as hand spay and it's been fine. the filter sets back in there a couple inches so unless someone just holds the spray directly at the vent I doubt that it's an issue. I wash my Jeep a lot too.

I've got the RIPP setup on the 3.6 w/ the enclosed airbox, and yeah, the hose is disconnected. Haven't noticed any difference either way. The enclosed airbox is worth it IMO over the open air element. Also, my aeroforce gauge reports 10% intake air temp decrease across the board since I've added it.
