I used Duplicolor brand wheel enamel. I am very happy with the result. I scratched them on rocks on a trail and with a little light sanding the touch up was flawless. What I don't like about bed liner and plasti dip is how thick it is. When it is scratched the scratches are deep because of how thick it goes on.
As with any paint job it is all about the prep. No matter which way you go be sure to do a light sanding with a fine grit or scotch brite and degrease well

I painted my wheels almost a year ago with the cheap paint from Walmart, I got the flat black for $0.96 a can. I just roughed up the clear coat pretty good with scotchbrite pads and sprayed the wheels. The paint has held up great, no chipping or flaking, just scratches and gouges from the rocks

I used flat black RustOleum on mine. First sanded with 400 grit sand block then applied the rustoleum primer and then the paint over it. It has been holding very well for more than two years. I have a few photos in my album.
