Adams made me a custom length rear 1350. I paid right around $450, but I already had a rear pinion yoke so they did not send me one. The most impressive part was that I had the driveshaft on the jeep 48 hours after calling them to order it with no rush shipping.

Ok, bringing this one back to life just because its tied to the SD 60. I have mangled my stock tie rod to a point where I now need to get a new one. Has anyone gone with an after market tie rod and what are my options?

have you thought about going high steer and running a heim setup like something from ruffstuff? Mine has been pretty bombproof. It's a pretty big investment, but its worth it. This tie rod has only been painted once with rustoleum and you can see by the lack of scratches that it is out of the way.

My concern is the exposure of the ram assist. I prefer to keep the tie rod below. But that said, I like the idea of switching to heim joints. Does anyone make bent ones?

I have yet to damage my ram, but I am not saying I wont. I plan on making a guard with some DOM, just a piece below it running parallel to the ram. That swaybar stud on the passenger side took a hit and now points backwards, so stuff does get up in there.

Could make one with dom and use the off set tres if needed. Invest also had an aftermarket on his but i cant recall who made it.

Offset TREs won't work on an 05+ D60. You either bend some tube or run a set of really sick offset TREs with inserts. You can run stock ford ends and drill/tap tube. However, it's really not cost effective and not nearly as strong.
