Default TF tire carrier

I just put my tf hd hinges on and now my door is much stiffer to open and not smooth at all, it gets really tight towards the end too, can anyone who has put it on chime in? Could it be because I don't have my tire on?

I'd suggest calling TeraFlex tomorrow and see what they have to say. While I haven't had to deal with them myself, I hear all over the place that they have great customer service.

I noticed it did take some time for the hinge to kinda break in and ease up a bit.

Thanks, I plan to call them tomorrow but I wanted some Instant reassurance especially after waiting all day to install it, missing a piece and now having it not perform as I expected

I just finished my install a few hours ago and was thinking the same thing. I'm hoping that it just had a break in period.

Hopefully that's the case, If not I'll sell it to buy a or-fab

To quote Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters "When in doubt, lubricate." Any chance the hinge just need a little greasing? Maybe you overtorqued something?

That's an idea but when installing the carrier you don't touch the pins on the rotating part at all. And there is really no way to get in there and grease anything internally.

And i don't believe over tightening any of the bolts would restrict movement
