Default Texas trails, 3.21's: 33.3"x9.5" Treadwrite Guarddogs better than OE Rubicons?

Okay- I was going to buy some real aggressive 33"s to run with my 3.21 gears over Texas trails and mud on my 2.5" lifted 6 speed... the deal fell through. These BFGs have been GREAT but I am sick of them gumming up and becoming slick... They are too narrow of voids for me to be able to clean with throttle. I found these taller tires for a great price and they seem more agressive. I will NOT be doing a regear anytime soon, and this purchase is to give me more capbilities in the thick clay and deeper mud. Will these tires be a marked improvement (in trail) over the BFG 31"s? https://www.treadwright.com/p-52-285...dog-m-t-d.aspx

I personally wouldn't use a retread if you gave them to me. I know many people use and like them but I dont trust them, I would rather spend the extra money on new, first quality tires. As for performance off road, they don't appear to be much more aggressive than the factory Rubi tires, although the larger tire size you go with, the larger the lugs will be in general

What about the Backbone 2? Looks like it has a more open tread that will sling the mud from the tires better...

Don't you just love internet vendors who never think to actually update their website when things change? Makes you wonder what else they "forget" to tell ya...
