yes use the stock mount. It will squish your stock rubber isolator (tire bump thingamabob)very flat but still works great. This is stock rim with 32's I also cut tpart of the rubber bumper off.

Default High lift mount too tall

So I got the high lift mount for Christmas. Put it on and put my high lift on. Went to the airport for a work trip and barely was able to get in and out of the parking garage. I scrapped the ceiling by about 1/32 of an inch. I got seriously lucky I didn't rip my tailgate off.

That being said. I am thinking I can re-drill the mounting plate and gain a couple of inches by moving it down on the tailgate hinge. Has anyone else done this?

That will put my high lift barely over my top, and should clear almost any place I go.

i don't have my jack mounted at the moment but be careful it does not break the tail light lens. I also found that you need to be mindful that the jack sticks up. I am going to cut a couple inches off it and go that route.

I cut an inch off my hi lift..... Got the clearance needed. Once cut painted the exposed metal with rusto.

I had to lower my jack mount 1.5 inches. My highlift jack would not fit in my standard height garage.

I had a 48" that was sticking up too tall. I just cut off a few inches to make it slightly lower than the roofline. Not a big deal to hack it off, just hit the end with rustoleum like was already mentioned. Or get a 42" jack.

No such thing as a standard height house garage...

older homes were often 6' some 6' 6", most 'modern' homes are 7', however you can build anything you like

I'm surprised no one has just made some brackets that would attach jeep side, then have bolts like 3-5" lower on the high-lift side...

What's the deal? Teraflex designs a super awesome hinge then they come up with this pos mount
A little less then a year ago my adjuster piece cracked alonf the welds..teraflex sent me a reinforced adjuster. problem fixed.

Today a loud squeaking/screech noise came from the back, i opened the gate and shut it to find the noise coming from the carrier. This time the mounting piece of the adjustable carrier is cracked.

just out of curiosity, did you have your tire tight against the rubber stops?
