Will I be able to mount the wheel ok on standard carrier or wil I definately require one of those acessories for larger tyres ?
Yes you will be able to run those wheels with the carrier.

Sure love how snug this fits and how freely the tailgate opens and closes. No longer do I have to worry about a carrier slamming closed on me while I'm doing something in the back of the jeep or seeing it swing open violently. One thing we found is it might take one or two attempts to get the backspacing of the wheels dialed into the carriers setup. The first attempt it was not quite right so we removed it made a quick adjustment and all was well. Not the best pics but you can see the oem rubber stop is still in place on the driver side and making good contact. Also, good contact against the carrier as well. This carrier will get put to the test and I'll report back how it does!

So you CAN run just the hinge upgrade, with the stock carrier and an adapter?

Yep. I have a 37" tire on the stock Moab wheel with the stock tire carrier and the TF hinge. I drive 70-80 miles a day during the week and wheel on the weekends since december 12' and haven't had any problems so far. Teraflex did an awesome job with this hinge.

sure can, I'm using only the hinge with Hyline Offroad's extension and center of wheel third brake light. Works awesome.

Are your guys' hinges really stiff? I hear people say it opens nice and freely but mine is pretty stiff feeling. Even if I open it half way or less in a downward slope it won't move. And ive really gotta slam it to close it
