SO, dumb question, but why can't you just tighten them with a regular ratchet? I don't own a torque wrench yet, but should I get one just for this install?

And, as far as dumb questions, doe sit really matter whether the cylinder is on the axle side or the passenger side? Seems like it doesn't, but I was just wondering...
