actually, that is a JK frame mounted rear trac bar bracket... i have it installed on my JK right now. the "mystery" bracket in question appears to be the TJ axle mounted trac bar bracket

Yeah, that looks just like the picture I posted of my rear JK bracket.

Default That's the shock relocation bracket

That's the shock relocation bracket. it will push the bottom of the shock out enough to clear the drop bracket from hitting the top of the shock.

ok, heres a picture I found of the Teraflex TJ rear trackbar bracket.....


Doesn't look much like the "mystery" bracket

If so...why was it not listed in the parts or instructions for the kit? And why would Teraflex not know what it was?

That bracket was not originally included in the kit, so it probably wasn't put in the parts list. They should have known that though and been able to tell you what it was.

Well anyway, I never installed it anywhere...and all is well. Maybe I dont even need it?

the other guy is right

that is the bracket to space out the rear right shock, so it doesnt contact the track bar,

i believe that is a new piece, should only be used if your shock looks like it will contact the track bar

tera did this "update" before when they started including longer sway bar links and different rear brake line relocator brackets
