I had a 2.5" spacer lift on my 2 door X and all was fine. Then I got a new winch and bumper with a combined weight of 190 lbs. and it was terrible.
The stock springs just sagged. The front end felt heavy and the ride got very rough.
Therefore I just installed the TF coil lift with shocks and what a difference it made.
The stance of the Jeep is just the way I want it now and the ride and handling is restored.

I just removed my leveling kit and instaleld TF 2.5 spring lift with Bilstein 5100.. looking back I only bought the leveling kit because it was a cheap lift at the time.

save the cash and just go 2.5 with shock adapters so you can add shocks when your ready..

What's the exact tire size? Those look like 35s.

Great job everyone with straight up non judgemental advise. I am loving my Leveling kit. I have a RR stubby, non winch mount up front. I am planning on upgrading to 33" or 34" Toyo's when my BFG's are toast. My concerns with a bigger lift really was issues with all the computer gremlins, ESP etc... and it being my toy as well as my family's daily driver. Didn't want my 5'2" wife having a harder time getting in and out that she already has and getting our 4yo in the back.

I put on the Teraflex 2/1 leveling kit and have been running it with a bumper/winch combo and 35" tires. I DON'T recommend offroading with the 35" tires without a bigger lift. I wasn't concerned about it because it's still snowy here in CO and I'm putting on a 4" Franken-lift this weekend to accomodate the tires. If you're running 33" tires you'll be fine with the 2/1 lift even with the winch and bumper. It really comes down to taste. The Tera 2.5 is going to give you probably 3" which may look a little big with the smaller 33" tires but you may like it. The 2/1 Tera lift ran me $119 shipped from Northridge. Feel free to check out my Jeep on my profile; the pics with the black rims and with the new bling rims both have the 2/1 installed.
