Teraflex hinged carrier/mount question
Hey, quick question...
I have the hinged carrier already but am using the stock mount with the teraflex spacer designed for stock wheels. This set up worked very well for the last two years but I just added a new bumper and the tire rubs on it a little too much for my comfort so I want to add the teraflex mount to lift the tire up a bit.
What I am wondering is if I order the mount, I know it comes with the bracket to mount the third brake light in the middle of the spare tire. I would also like to order the bracket that mounts the brake light and the license plate...but, teraflex offers two versions, one with the extended lugs and one without. Which one do I need? Does the standard bracket that only allows for mounting the brake light have these same extended lugs? Also, will the extended lugs work with the spacer that I will also continue to use due to stock wheels?
I hope this makes sense and that someone has been down this route before.

Yes, but what I'm wondering is if they're the same as the ones that come with the mount which holds the plate and light. Teraflex sells two models of bracket that hold both. One with the extended lugs and one without. Also, like I said I'm wondering if they'll work with the teraflex spacer I'm using

Just mount the light inside the wheel to the upper open lug holes... This will give you more rear view mirror clearance over the space. I have a Duratrac "35" ... Really 34ish but works great
