Default TeraFlex Aluminum RockGuard Rock Sliders

I'm in need of rocker panel protection, and I want some empirical knowledge. My short list of viable candidates are:

  1. LOD Frame Mounted Rock Sliders
  2. Hanson Offroad Rocksliders
  3. TeraFlex Aluminum RockGuard Rock Sliders
I have reasons for liking each of them, and I know the LOD and Hanson Offroad products will take the abuse. I like the idea of aluminum TeraFlex product because of the significant weight savings. I am concerned however, with the fact that the aluminum will flex more than the steel competitors. Couple that with them being body mounted adds to my concern.

So, anybody who has real-world experience with using the TeraFlex product, please give me your honest opinion. I'm looking specifically for the durability of the TeraFlex sliders only please. The more abuse they have seen the better.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I've had the TF sliders on my 2 door since 2009 & they've held up great. I've got some good scratches in them but no flexing or dents...So far!

Thanks, Dutch! I'll contact Robert. I know he wheels his rig pretty hard. If they've held up well for him, there's no reason to think they wouldn't hold up for me.

Thanks, Wheezer! It helps to hear that these take punishment without buckling.

I have the TeraFlex sliders on my JK. I love how they deflect snow/slush away from the body.

TF sliders here also. Add some 3M grip tape to the area in front of the doors and you're good to go. Been on since April 2008.

Thanks guys for your input. I'm beginning to have more confidence that the TeraFlex are the sliders for me. I will be getting in touch with a member of my local Jeep club who has these. I can see for myself how they have stood up over time.

Lol- TeraFlex rep. I live in South Texas. Snow and slush are not a factor in my decision. Thanks for your feedback though.

Well, Dutchboy our friend came through. He really likes his TeraFlex sliders. Add that feedback to the nothing-but-positive feedback from these other TeraFlex customers, and I'm satisfied that this is the solution for me.

Thanks for pointing me to Richard. I'm glad you did that. I know his wheeling habits and I know that if they work on his rig, then they'll work on mine.

Thanks again to all of you who provided your feedback. This is for you all.
