The front stock JK drive shaft from 2012 -up is limited to droop as the rubber boot might hit the rzeppa joint and also the front drive shaft can make contact with the exhaust system if the front suspension is extended too much with long travel shocks. also the Rzeppa joint have a limited angle of operation. So using front shock with extended length longer than 25'' will cause an issue with the front drive shaft.
hope this clear things up !

bilstein 24-146708 shocks can be used without extended bump stop in the front without bottoming as they still have around .5'' of shock travel remaining when fully flexed. Their collapsed lenght is 14.98''.

Yes it does
Right now I have the Bilstein 24-186872 front and 24-186887 for the rear.
So I should get the 24-146708 instead of the 186872's and that will limit droop enough to protect the front DS untill I can replace it with a 1310....
And I can just run the stock front bumpstops with these 24-146708's correct?
So when I do replace the front DS and can go back to the 24-186872 and then I wil have to install the new TeraFlex bumpstops?

It may be a little while before I get the lift ect. on because i'm going to the delear to see about my noisy NSG-370 tranny. Thought I better see what they will do with it before I install all of this. When i'm there I will get a feel of there attitude toward modified Jeeps
But I think when I do get it all on I will go ahead and put the longer 24-186872 front shocks and like you said use limiting straps and 3" stops untill I get the new DS.
Oh by the way can you tell me what length straps to get...looks like TeraFlex has some 15.5" and Trai Gear have some that are 16"
Thanks

Well I finally got the lift installed along with the longer shocks
It only took one look at the Jeep to realize I needed bigger rubber so 4 days after the install I went ahead a bought 5 Pro Comp Xtreme MT2's 315/70/17 on the stock Rubi wheels.
Plus after driving the Jeep a few times I could tell I had some front drive shaft vibration
Wasn't going to drive a new JK that way so I pulled the front DS just to make sure that is what I was feeeling and sure enough all the vibrations were gone.
Orderd a new 1310 just as you guys suggested
Want to give a big thumbs up to my wife for putting up with all of this as some of the extras weren't really in the build budget
