Default Teraflex 3" or 2.5" coil lift with 1" spring spacers? Same???

Is there any downfall to the 2.5" coil kit with an added 1" spacer to achieve a lift equivalent to the 3" kit? I have the TF leveling kit so I already have 1" spacers in the rear so it seems I could save about $350 going this route.
Does 3" kit come with different track bar relocation brackets or anything?
Thanks guys!!!

I think the real question is how much can you afford to spend. Here you are going to find both ends of the spectrum. Some for and some against both.

What is you intent for this Jeep? Street driving? The coil lift will be fine. It will also be fine for off road. How crazy are you going to get off road may be something to consider.

I went with the 3.25 coil lift. The reason why is that I have really never done any off roading in a jeep. I figured if I needed more of a lift, I could always add the other components. My $0.2

I guess I just want to know if it's a good idea to use the 2.5" coil lift with a 1" spacer front and rear to achieve a lift that's equivalent to the 3" coil lift. Should it net the same amount of lift? Should it ride and flex the same?
I have a chance to buy a used 2.5" coil lift for super cheap but I really wanted a 3". For the money I'm saving, I could buy lower front arms and upper rears...

With a 2.5 coil lift and 1'' spacers you are looking at about 4 inches of lift in the front, and I wouldn't put one in the back because the TF 2.5 coil lift I have still had the rake in the front and even more so with a real front bumper and winch. Also with anymore than this much lift, your going to start looking at aftermarket driveshafts and such. I say go for it, that's what I am planning on doing and without the spacers it fits 35's fine. Another route could be just the 2.5 coil lift and flattie fenders, to keep COG low..so many options. Good luck.

Youre going to need (at minimum) new lower control arms and f&r trackbars. My JK after the TF 3" was way out of wack. The front axle was so off-center that the passenger side quick disco barely connected, and my rear tire would rub against the rear sway bar (5" backspace on 35x12.5" tires). It took me 2 months of trial and error to get my ride totally dialed in again.

My suggestion for you would be to get the 2.5" coil lift first. You could probably get away with using your stock trackbars and LCA's, and the TF's 2.5" is really like 3"+ which looks perfect when mated to 35" tires. My 35's on the 3" lift look teeny. If unsatisified with the amount of lift, get a body lift. With the BL, you wont be altering any of the suspension geometry therefore not going through the headache of dialing in your ride all over again.

I'm running the 2.5 with 1" spaces front 1/2" rear. Nice and level. I hate rake on a jeep. I could clear 37's now if I wanted to.
