1554200 is 3-4" rear shocks
1553200 is 3-4" front shocks

The original 2.5" kits came with 3-4" shocks, now they have 2.5" shocks that are shorter. Define "Deadening out".

Hey Joe, I sent you a couple PMs regarding my problems here. I was on the phone with Qtec this morning, and they are supposed to be calling Teraflex at some point today and getting back to me tomorrow.

July 2011 -
Installed 2.5" BB with Shocks. Took to beach, and had a bottoming out sound when driving over ruts in sand. When I came home I saw that the shocks were compressing very easily, and deadening out on the limiter inside of the shock housing.

November 2011 -
Bought the 2.5-3" Springs figuring that the reason the shocks were compressing fast was that I still had the OEM springs on there. Installed the springs and also kept the 2.5" BB Pucks in place thus creating a total of 5" of lift. Correct?

March 2012 -
Got new tires, and went to get it aligned by a mechanic/friend. Told me that they could not get the Caster aligned properly due to ride height and that I also needed longer brake lines.

April 2012 -
In order to avoid spending the money on Adj. LCAs and extended brake lines, I took out the 2.5"bb spacers. So right now I am running the Shocks & Springs along with the other hardware that came with the lift which is when I noticed the same noise and harsh ride on bumps that I was experience before with just the shocks and spacers.

Does that make sense?

Deadening out, the front shocks are traveling only a few inches before hitting the metal stopper inside of the shock housing. The rears only have 1.5-2" of the shock rod exposed.

Are any of your shocks leaking? I'm wondering if you have a shock that's not charged. Unless you have adjustable control arms, you will not be able to set the caster for the alignment.
