Nope. With the leveling kit, you can keep your stock shocks. No extensions needed either.

Anyone running this performance leveling kit by teraflex http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_1101_07.htm ??? I'm wanting to run the kit on a 4 door with 295/70/17 tires on aftermarket wheels. I am also thinking to get with this kit, the teraflex shocks, adjustable front trac bar, rear trac bar relocation braket, and the teraflex steering stablizer. For my daily driven jeep. Anyone out there with this setup? Whats everyones thoughts on this? Thanks

To be honest your wasting your money on all the other components if you are just installing a leveling kit. I ran telhe TF kit along time ago and you don't need anything extra. You can install the spacers by just flexing and putting them in. If you are going to put out all that money on the other components just get the Teraflex 2.5 Coil Lift with shocks from Northridge 4x4.

Thats kinda what I was thinking too...but would the 2.5 coil lift from TF be to much if I just want to run a 33''/34'' tire with the stock fenders? How would that look, dont want there to be to much room under the fender from tire to fender..

Also is that 2.5 coil lift ok on the other drive componets?

Here is mine TF2.5 + 1" TF spacers all around on 315/70/17 Duratracs. Your 295's will be just a little shorter. I would definitely get the full coil lift instead of leveling kit if you plan on investing in all the other componets.

I got about 3.1" of actual lift from the 2.5" coil lift. I would just put the money up and get the coils, u get more flex and still jav the ability to jump to the nxt tire size down the road

Used Rubi coils. That's another option.

Just curious. What were your stock coil numbers?

This is a tough choice as most lifts. I have the 2.5 coil w/35 duratracs, the coil is offered in a kit with shock adapters like the leveling kit. Installed the leveling kit last weekend with 33's.. Our discussion after the install (3 hrs) was it still looked stock but with chunky tires.. A little disappointed but looked nice and it will keep him out of the dog house with his wife. If I can get him to send me pics I will share.
