Default Teraflex 2.5" BB X vs. rubicon

To start off I have a 2008 X unlimited auto. I installed my TF BB a month ago or so... But during the install of the front spacers I had to use a spring compressor to get the springs to fit.... My question is that I did everything WayofLife did and he didnt use a spring compressor so is the front suspension travel of an x different than that of a rubicon?

mine were really tight too, especially the passenger side...i only had the 2.5"...it's not a bad thing. just tight enough...i had to twist, turn, pull, push till it sat in correctly. hope you didn't decompress it too much

I added the additional spacer as well and was definitely tight but still able to get it all back together by myself and with no spring compressor. Of course, I could barely walk for a day or two after finishing.

no additional spacer but it was VERY tight, used a two by four for leverage to pop the coil in. the fronts were bad, rears were easy enough.

How much did you off road your Jeep before installing the lift? I know WOL off roads pretty hard, even when his was stock, so it is possible his springs were a little more broken in when he installed his first lift. Of course I could be way off here, but it is what came to mind when I read this thread.

On our 07 Ruby, She had been wheeled some and the front spring faught me in the driveway and the rears were fine.
On our 08 Little Red Ruby, we put in the lift with 150 miles on her and the front fell out and the back faught us on the lift.
