Default Teraflex 1.5 coil levelIng kit tire/wheel question!?! Help!

So I was dead set on getting this lift/leveling kit (1.5" teraflex performance coil leveling kit) and then I decided to stop by the tire shop today. Running a brand new 2012 JKU Sport with the 255-17" package. The guy at the shop was nice enough to throw a 285-70-16 BF Goodrich At Ko on a black 16" rim. I was surprised it fit on stock suspension and didn't rub when fully turned. Knowing that I only wanted a little height on this jeep for a pavement pounder I'm now trying to decide if it's worth putting the kit on or not. Any ody have this kit on, and if so what tire size/wheel size are you running? I don't want to go much bigger than a 285 or 295. Thanks for any input.

I am running the Teraflex leveling kit with 285/75r17s and it is perfect. The tires are 34s and did fit without the kit and just flat fenders but the leveling kit does a great job leveling the Jeep out and give it a better stance.

Nice! Thanks! So should I look at a 285-70-16 or 295-75-16 to fill out the wheel well but not have any rubbing issues?

Here is my current JK with 285's and no lift. I here a little rubbing at full turn here and there. I'd say with the BB you shouldn't have any issues.

Thanks for the pic! Looks good! Still on the fence about getting the lift or not, but I guess I'd be running the same tire size either way so maybe I should just head back down to America's Tire right now and drop $2000!!

I do think you should read this post though. Alot of people have had no issue with the leveling kit. I had an issue and a few others did. I was able to correct my problem by getting the rubi springs. (Cost me $50 bux.) Just have to make sure you have the right springs on under your jeep. The passenger side spring needs to have a higher number than the driver side. (You can find this on the little tags on the springs.) But like I said....most people don't have this issue.
Really appreciate the pic and info. I don't plan on running a 35 so maybe I should just pass on the lift and let the 285 with a 16" rim give me a little additional height I am looking for. Tis will be a pavement pounder/highway rig primarily so I don't want to jack with suspension or sway bar issues too much. Thoughts?

Ha ha! I hear ya...I have been through my quadratec and 4wd catalogs too much already..I've had an 89 YJ that I went crazy with along with a 2000 TJ. Been driving Chevy trucks for the last 11 years with the exception of a nice 86 CJ7 for a summer so I'm finally back to a jeep as my DD. just new to the JK's so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. I guess I'm just ancy to get these stock tires/rims off today while I'm sitting around bored.
