Tera flex high angle rzeppa joint

The replacement piece makes perfect sense for more than just the weekend warrior. The money saved from not buying a double cardan can pay for hydro assist. Also, ill take rezeppa joints over u-joints any day. Why do you think everyone upgrades to rcvs? You can run them at virtually any angle without bind, no vibes, they're stronger and smoother, and there's no maintenance needed.
Edit:
Lol Karl, i just read your comment. You're spot on dawg.

You're in the minority though, look at the number of these jeeps out on the road, not everyone is built to a point where they'll spin the shaft in half. I'm equating your comments in this thread to going into a thread where someone wants a budget boost and you insist that it's a waste of money, they should just go full custom- it's just not practical for everyone and obviously you fit into the category to where this thread doesn't really apply to you. I sure hope Dirtman, Maertz, CrazyCasey, or Fusion wouldn't open this thread thinking there's anything in here for them.

1310 double cardans are rated from 1600lb/ft to 1850lb/ft.
1350 double cardans are rated around 2200lb/ft.
Dont forget the DC joint becomes weaker as it approaches bind, where the rzeppa joints strength remains static throughout the full range of motion.
I understand your point if your taking bad lines and hitting the driveshaft often, that will weaken the OEM driveline and cause a failure.

A member on JKO said JE Reel will custom make a DS using TF's high angle Rzeppa at the TC and u-joint or Rzeppa at the pinion for $450 shipped.'
I can assume higher caster is a possibility with this setup?

This would be excellent and is the only reason I looked at this thread earlier, I'm wondering if I could get 1-2* of caster back...

I've seen too many double cardans to count blow up on the trail. I've yet to EVER see an oem style rezeppa shaft break. Whether it be a Dakota, jk, grand Cherokee, or whatever. My jeep has 148k miles, gets beat on almost every weekend and more-often-than-not during the week, and I'm still running the oem front shaft. I did have to replace it around 90k, but I replaced it with another oem one for $75. Of all the things on my jeep I've never once been worried for it, but I can say I've worried multiple time, and have been stuck fixing it multiple times on the trail, my rear double cardan. To each their own, though.

Just finished this job, only took an hour and a half! Take it I was pretty ****ing lit but most of the time was consumed turning those 8 bolts to the transfer case. Thought lining it up was going to be a pain in the ass, strangely enough that was the easiest part! Looking forward to finally using my 4x4 again!

I just installed the TF CV joint last week. Glad to hear all the good feedback posted here. Wasn't sure about it when I first read about it but at $146 vs $600-$900 I was quoted from various sources I decided to give it a try.
