Default Talk Me Out Of It!...

37's, that is.

The fact is, I just want them. And yes I will use them, maybe not to the fullest extent that some others might. But they will be used well.

But GD, by the time you add up ALL the upfront costs, and then the sundry other issues to contend with, it's a big chunk of change. But I think I will always want to "Go Bigger" and eventually hit the 37's anyway.

So I'm asking you to talk me out of it! Talk me down off the ledge. Can you talk me into the 35's.

In particular, any input from those who have gone from 37's to 35's and why?

You are the ones I want to hear from most. ANd any other nukklehead advice is also welcome at all times.

Thanks,

Mark

Things to keep in mind.
Less gas mileage, less money in your pocket, making the JK into more of a flying brick, higher risk of axle problems (bending tubes, upper C's bending)

Otherwise YOU CAN DO IT!!! pssst I'm in the same boat as you on this decsion.

I have 35" tires and have been able to alot with them with just the X. I cant imagine if i had lockers to go with it! But thats about the only reason i have 35's as i too wanbt 37's but i know i need to upgrade the front axle to keep it on the rocks and I dont have that cash flow.

I guess you could look at it like this for 37 vs 35 but i dont think some of it will be that big of a diffrence.
-less mpg
-more wear and tear on suspension/driveline
-need to regear for sure
-price diffrence from 35-37" tire and tire brand/style availibility
-in order to lift high enough for 37" you will need new drive shafts

but like i said, mpg and price may not be much diffrence with the two

either way you go, i would at least lift it enough to fit the 37's, especially since you are considering it now....
