The very knowledgeable techs at 4wheel parts told me it was to counteract the crown in the middle of every road. That was just before they moved my caster from 6 down to 4, and told me that it now drove much better...

Would 6 be too much? Running stock driveshafts.
- mine drove like crap with caster at 4, and handles great at 6.

Have just checked my Caster
on a 2dr. 2.5" terraflex coil lift and stock rubi tyres
Passenger side = 6
Drivers side = 0 ?
what effect will this have and do i need new control arms to change this. i sometimes get a kick on rough roads (pot holes)
