No problem....
Since the key mechanism is kinda big. I just drilled a few holes close to each other until I thought I could slide mechanism in and still be snug. Just remember to make hole big enough to where the actual head of mechanism or bolts will still lay flush on outside of box so it doesnt fall through. (remember to push mechanism or bolts from inside out instead of pulling out from top of box) That will guarantee no fingerprints in paint incase paint is still soft
