Synthetic rope question
Ok I want to know what damage occurs on synthetic rope in muddy water. I need to pull out a stump in the lake and I don't want the rope trashed.

just try to spray off as much dirt and mud as you can afterwards. if you don't drag it across sharp rocks or stumps, you won't hurt it. and use a tree saver to attach to the stump - don't wrap the winch rope around it.
