Ok now I see what you are talking about. Have you had to replace your boot as well?
So it would appear about the only thing a person could do is rotate the boot periodically
To help extend its life.

X2 here. Not an issue in 30k miles. In fact it even still looks new.

Thus We'll be opting for an alternative drag link and other components.. Shame really, I was looking forward to using Synergy products on our jeep.. but this isn't going to happen.
Fits fine with the flipped option on my 2012. Stock wheels. Stock back spacing (no spacers). It has about an inch of clearance through the right wheels travel and turning. This was tested without a spring and shock installed and using a floor jack to cycle the travel up and down and turning full lock to lock.

Quote From Synergy.com

Requires a maximum 4-3/4" backspace wheel or wheel spacer with factory wheel setup. 4-1/2" back spacing is recommended

Than one should contact Synergy and confirm your findings or Synergy is aware of these findings and just hasn't updated their site yet.

you've misunderstood what synergy has said. Your stock wheel backspacing is around 6". You need backspacing of 4.5" for the flip, so you add a 1.5" spacer to the stock wheel. 6-1.5=4.5

And you dont have to run it in the flipped position. You can easily run it in the stock position and rotate the joint later if you decide to flip it.

My problem is the spring not holding the boot down, no problems with the boot tearing. DL boot hasn't come loose after I fixed it in the picture, but the tie rod boots keeps coming loose. Still need to get a steering stabilizer back on and hopefully that'll keep the tie rod centered and keep the boots in place.

I guess I should add that I have a Sahara with factory 18's. Sorry. Wasn't thinking that most have the 17"'wheels.

Stagger the joints so it holds orientation

All my boots are fine. I'm wondering if something changed in the boot material. I've been seeing a lot of reports of boots not staying put. The comment above will help.

Fwiw wheel back spacing as nothing to do with the drag link run in the stock location.

Hey man Np.. not one bit worried or attempting to argue with anyone.. I just want things to work out for everyone and we all get these things corrected and have the reassurance that these parts work for what they are or have been intended to.
