Default Swaybar disco's on lifts...

I have E-Disco's on the stock setup...

I plan to lift 2.5''-3'' with coils

Everyone is saying get kits with disconects or that I will need to replace the swaybar links, or swap the rear to the front and get longer ones for the rear..

Do I need to replace the disconnects ? or take the electronic ones out ?

or is this a waste since they already disconect with the push of a button...

After installing my lift and some disco's in my Sahara, I don't see any reason you would have to remove your electronic disconnects. You should consider changing out your links, though since your lift would pull your sway bar down from horizontal which may (don't know on this one) cause problems with the function of your e-disco.

Links are relatively cheap and easy to change out and maybe some of the lift kits come with them, or as you mentioned, perhaps you get the back ones, and move the back to the front depending on the application.

you have a rubicon with an edisco - you do not need sway bar link quick disconnects, only people with sahara's or x's need them.

with 2.5"-3" of lift, your factory front links will be way too short and you will run the risk of over extending them when disconnected and flexing on the trail. if you install the factory rear links up front, they will be long enough to prevent this. however, you will need new longer links in the rear. most kits come with longer rear links.

WOL you truely know your shit. I find it a blessing every time you answer my q's hahahhaha

ok so its not that I need quick disconnects... its that i need longer "Swaybar links" I can get adjustable sway bar links and still have them usable with my e-disconnect ?? or do I loose the electronic feature cus it wont be the same as the stock setup ?? Also what is a good brand/price for swaybar links that will work with the electronic feature...

I could use the long ones in the back for free, but then I would need to know where to get adjustable ones for the rear so I can extend the right side a little and get rid of the JK lean right?

Thanks again as usual.

Unless your doing a "Frankenlift" your lift kit will more than likely come with everything you need. As for buying adjustable links? You won't lose your e-disco. It will still work. What lift are you thinking of purchasing? Once you know that, then you'll know if you need to purchase any links.

a 2.5'' lift or 3'' lift for under 1k

wanted the 2.5'' TF coils with shocks but they are back ordered for ever...

was thinking 2.5'' RC coils with 2.2shocks but then got scared off of that by a veteran who didnt think they were worth it...

now I am open for options...

yes, they will not effect how your edisco works. however, in order to get adjustable links to work up front, you will need to drill out your swaybar mounting holes. even with a unibit, this can be hard to do.

honestly, for your purposes, i would just install the factory rears up front.

both currie and off road evolution make these and i know you can get them at northridge4x4.

they are both good links and easy to install on the rear. as i said before, installing them up front is a bit harder but not by much. will it really fix the jk lean? yes.
