Sway bar disconnects
As most 4wd trails are rated easy, moderate, difficult, at what point in going off road is using the sway bar disconnect an advantage? and how does it benefit performance? thanks

Pretty much anytime you disconnect your comfort level will be increased as it smooths out the ride. It also allows more articulation so all four tires stay on the ground longer giving you stability and allowing the tires to have traction, remember a tire in the air just spins

Yeah, I'm usually disconnecting when I get off of asphalt. Even on gravel in 2wd, pulling your sway bar links will smooth out the ride. Depending on how long I'll be on the "off-road" terrain, I'll even drop tire pressure. It just smooths out the ride to where you can enjoy it instead of fighting it.
