Default Swapping suspension

I currently have a fully stock 2008 Sahara Unlimited. Would I need to do any modifications (brake lines, drop mounts, etc) if I wanted to swap out the stock suspension and replace it with Rubicon shocks and springs? My understanding is that they would provide about 2.5" of lift over the current setup.

thanks.

I believe the height will depend on which springs you currently have and which ones you are getting.

highly doubt u will even see any lift at all bud. u will be fine(unless it was 4door coils being put on a 2door and even then i would not worry)

I don't think that you will need to do anything other than swap out the springs and shocks. But the amount of lift will depend on the spring part numbers. And maybe the options on the the two Jeeps. Good luck with the swap and post up pic of before and after.

Should not require any changes except the springs and shocks. The new springs will probably result in a bit of lift, but even more important the Jeep will ride and handle much better.

I couldn't get the stock springs and shocks off my sport fast enough. Ran the Rubi springs/shocks for a year and liked it a lot until I went with some lift last summer.

Thanks guys for your comments. The guy selling the springs gave me the following numbers:

68004458AA Rear

52126318Ac Front

I'll have a look to see what the numbers mean, but anyone familiar with these, and will they make a difference?

Thanks
Gero

You have to provide your numbers to make a comparison. There's a huge thread over in the Stock section comparing OEM springs.

I don't think it's really worth the trouble unless they're free, IMO. Been there, done that, and I have a 2 door so it actually did give me a bit of lift. In the end, I threw it all away in favor of aftermarket stuff. Since you have an Unlimited it's even less likely you'll be happy.
