Default OME LT Northridge Kit Measurements

Hi Everyone,

These results are a little delayed; but, I hope they're still useful.

Because there are so many different ways to measure, I thought I would post averages for the front and back, and also from one side to the other.

First let me provide the basics:

1. 2008 JK Rubicon 2-Door Automatic
2. Stock Bumpers
3. No Winch
4. Stock Wheels and Tires

The kit that I purchased from Northridge was listes as an OME LT kit which included Heavy Duty OME springs, OME long-travel shocks, front upper adjustable control arms, front adjustable trackbar, adjustable front swaybar links (not used), front bumpstop extensions, extended front brake lines, rear trackbar, rear spring retainers, adjustable rear swaybar links, rear bumpstop extensions, extended rear brake lines, and I optionally purchased upper adjustable rear control arms.

The average increase in height after the installation of the kit:

Front: 3-1/4"
Rear: 2-7/8
"

(I will be removing the stock spring perches and installing adjustable spring mounts in the next week or two. I am curious if that change will result in a height increase in the rear. I will edit this post after I make that change.)

I should also mention that there is an average difference in height of 11/16" between left and the right side of the JK. (The left side of the JK is higher.) Note: these measurements were taken with almost no fuel in the tank.

If anyone is interested, I will record and repost changes to the height when I install the following in the next few weeks:

1. LoD Short Front Bumper with Stinger
2. Superwinch EPi 9 Winch with Steel Line
3. LoD Rock Rails
4. JKS Adjustable Rear Spring Mounts
5. Tatton Driveshafts

Thanks

Jeff

Does anybody know the real Full Traction 4" increases in the front and rear?

BTW, a tech in the AEV forum mentioned that their 3.5" lift has a nominal lift of 4" in the front and 3" in the rear (thus the 3.5" average).

You'd get a more accurate idea of actual lift if you measured after lift install and 3-6 months or 3000-6000 miles. We all know coils tend to settle in a short amount of time.

OME HD Lift from Northridge (OME springs/ shocks/ adjustable track bars, Currie endlinks, SpiderTraxx wheel spacers):

Measured Gain: Front 3 5/8
Rear 3 1/8

Stock tires, wheels, bumpers, + Warn 800 winch with Warn mount plate.

Not bad for a " 2 inch" lift

2009 4-door w/soft top and stock bumpers.
Teraflex 2.5 Coil Lift
Front:2.75
Rear:2.25

Looks like mine is a little on the short side compared to
others with this lift.

3" BDS Lift = 3" of lift EXACTLY...

4 Door Sahara, stock bumpers, soft and hard top. Measured with Soft Top.
