YEAH, since that was my first time doing anything like that, I took my time and double checked everything. I am sure that I have to do it again I should be able to finish the job in 5 hours.

Have done a total of 4 lifts at home ranging from the Rubicon Express 2"BB to the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift with shocks. Prior to getting my first Jeep 2 years ago, I had never done any mechanical work other than to change a tire. I have to admit that I love doing it myself and understanding how the Jeep works.
And you'll be helping do a 5th lift here in a few weeks once I order my stuff.

Installed a FT short arm kit on the JK and a Kore Performance kit on my Ram at my buddies shop around the corner. I did most of the work but I'm sure he would say I primarily just got in the way.

On my XJ I installed a RE 3.5" Superflex kit with the help of my buddy.
On my JK (if it ever gets here) I'll drop it off at a shop to have the TF 4" or 6" LA kit installed as it requires welding. Unless I go with the FT 4" or 6" LA kit
Voted for installed short arm myself as thats the only lift I've purchased thus far

i installed a rustys 3.25 kit with front lowers and rear uppers in my father in laws garage. by myself mostly.
not too bad. .the only thing that sucked was no power tools and getting all the measurements right.. i.e. castor.

I am very handy around the house but have never worked on a vehicle until I bought a JK. I installed the OME shock and coil lift along with front and rear adj track bars on my own in my driveway. Took me all day last summer but that included a couple of trips to Harbor Freight and Lowes for some taller jackstands and an impact wrench. Its far more satisfying to do the work yourself. Along the way you learn about how all the suspension components work together in the Jeep.
Good luck.
Good luck.

How many hours should it take to install a 4" short arm system, including front adjustable track bar and rear track bar bracket, relocating the rear brake lines using brackets, etc. ??? I want to install my 4" Superlift and the full flexarms from TeraFlex but am not sure if it is a job I should tackle myself or go to a shop. A buddy of mine offered to help if I do it myself, and he knows a guy with a garage and all the tools. They installed a 6" LCG TeraFlex kit in about 10 hours...
Let me know what I should do....
thanks
