Last Saturday I installed my 2.5 Rough Country lift by myself and was so glad I did. It was an awesome feeling knowing that I did it on my own, 100% alone.
Today, I installed a Teraflex 2.5 BB on a co-worker and forum members Rubicon for him. He helped a little today and I think now he will have the confidence to do mods in the future himself as well.
When I upgrade my lift, I will definately do the install myself.

I've lifted 1 CJ-7, 2 TJs, the JK 2x, and 3 XJs...
The JK is cake to work on compared to the others.
I hate working on XJ rear shock (upper bolts) the most--they ALWAYS break and have to be drilled! The last one took 8 hours to drill all the bolts out of!

Drove the Jeep straight home from the dealership and installed the lift, bumpers, winch and wheels/tires (mounted them myself) over a couple of days.
My neighbors probably think I'm nuts.

3" BDS coils/shocks installed in my driveway. I might be putting in a 1" body lift this summer - still have to do a little more research on the pros/cons before I pull the trigger.
It was my first time putting in a lift, and although it took me a little time, I had no real problems, and have a great sense of satisfaction knowing that I did it myself!

I installed a TF 2.5 BB and wheel spacers on my Jeep by myself in front of my house. It took me about 8 hours to complete the job. It was a little unsettling at first, but got over it in no time. I used the write up in Project-Jk as a guide which was very helpful. Overall, I am very satisfied to have done it myself.

I bought my 09 Jeep, drove it about 900 miles then I parked it in the garage.....I Just finished installing V AIR onboard air, LoD front and rear bumpers, Warn winch, Currie Rock Jock Suspension with rear anti rock, front and rear Currie Dana 60 axles, RockHard Sport Cage, wheels and tires, and Polk front speakers. I did it all over the last few weeks. I got it on the road today! Anybody can do it. It just takes time and a little patience. I'll post pictures in a few days. LoD rock sliders and front anti rock are somewhere in transit.

Not really a complete lift, but I put on some Skyjacker 3/4 " leveling pucks on by myself in my garage. I had to borrow the jack and stands, but it was pretty easy. When I finally get around to putting on a coil lift, I will do it either at someones house that has the tools, or I will borrow tools again. I am not the most mechanically inclined person, so there is a real sense of accomplishment when I do a mod myself. My wife has no confidence in my mechanical ability, so it is kind of fun to rub it in her face when I am able to do something and not screw it up
