Superchips Info needed
Looking in to buying a superchip for my 07 jeep wrangler 6 speed 3.8.On the oder form it asked me what size trans. I had,I'm not much of a car guy but I'm trying to learn.So where would I look to find out

Take a look on your window sticker if you have one. If not, try Googling the two numbers. I believe they just denote the automatic and the 6 speed with the two numbers. I think the 42RLE is the automatic, but not sure.

I just programmed mine the other day and I'm very happy I made this purchase. Make sure you download the internet update software and update flashpaq before trying to tune your jeep.

Is there any real improvement using superchips with a manual transmission? Ive been considering purchasing one but thought I read once that its mainly for auto trans

I read somewhere that the ECM on the 2011's is quite a bit different then the previous models & they were in no rush to release the 11's tuner without appropriate amount R&D/testing. And it doesn't sound like there is much of an improvement for a standard since the flashpaq pretty much changes the shift points on an automatic to give it more rev between gears. You do the same thing with your standard by shifting at a higher RPM.
