What is this pinging you guys are talking about? Like dash lights and noises or like lifter noises?

I have a 6sp and I am running the 87 tune and I don't think I have any problems but I'm not looking for the right thing i might be missing it...

Default Butt Dyno Thoughts and Impressions!!!

Ok, woke up this morning...no rain (my top has been dropped for weeks)...so out we go

It Started!...LOL

I let her warm up...same idle...no surging while backing out slowly from my garage and turning her around , no surging driving down my 200 foot driveway to the road at 5mph.

Stop at the end of my driveway and pull out onto the road...WHOA!...the throttle response through the 6 gears HAS IMPROVED! Hitting the gas pedal now actually makes my JEEP go with the run up in the RPMs noticeably quicker! No sitting there waiting for acceleration!

Ok, this is the first 5 miles after tuning

Have a 1/2 tank of gas...go to my local SHELL station (thats all my baby has ever drank) and fill up at $2.99 a gallon for 87 Octane and hit the Highway (AKA Taconic) On ramp...and mash the pedal through all the gears, shifting at 3k in each gear...much better and faster response, with hitting 3k in the first 4 gears, coming on quicker.

No pinging!

Much nicer acceleration ...the response or feed back from hitting the gas pedal has really improved...example: when in 2nd gear and flooring it, there a nice little snap back to the seat that I never had before.

This is now 10 miles after tuning

First impressions are GOOD!

I've been running the 87 tune with 87 octane for 3 fill-ups now. So far no pining. I was previously running the 91 tune with 91 octane. I don't notice any difference in performance between the two. Haven't started calculating mileage on the 87 tune yet, so I can't say yet if I'm seeing any difference in fuel economy between the two tunes.

I have been running the 87 tune for over a year now and have never had any pinging, just better performance.

I just ordered this today and i have a 2010.

Are there any benifits to having the 93 octane tune vs 87? Not sure which i should do. I have 35's and right now get 14 MPG. Will this improve, slso what other improvements will i see?

Try updating the programmer it will ping/knock on the 87 tune...even if you use 87/89 or 91 Octane....

I have a 2007. Haven't seen any significant difference between 87 and 93 octane tunes. Also doing 14mpg. I will try one more tank and go back to 87 tune to compare.

Difference between both those tunes and stock was night and day!!!
