Superchips announces Jeep FlashPaq

Also idle control for running a winch or the like and also opens the door to the possibility of an under drive balancer so you don't need to spin the alternator and power steering pump so much at cruise speeds which is sure to give you a boost of power to the rear wheels.

Different tunes for different grades of fuel?
Hey JPop, as you seem familiar with these FlashPaq's, do you know if they have different tunes for the different grades of fuel? I too have a CAI + Catback and would love to get the most power out of one of these things as possible.

I believe that Superchips upon initial registration of the product asking the end user what upgrades they have installed and what they plan to do in the future gives them a big heads up as to who their customers are. They actively participate in forums and add additional user requests to their products.
Of course I have no idea how their product is going to react to my JK, but I do know I'll get reasonable responses from their support as to what I can expect. When something isn't working right, even for the guy who has a heavily modified Hemi Ram, they make an effort to correct things and if they can't deliver what they said they give people their money back along with an apology. Try to get that out of Hypertech.
I'm real hopeful that I will have better results with a Superchips Flashpaq than I have with the Hypertech Max Energy. With data logging alone I'll be able to get where I want to be without using seat of the pants guess work. That should be pretty good to do a full comparison of what I'm getting out of the Hypertech before I get the first Superchips tune in.
In the end I'm sure the Superchips is going to dust the Hypertech, partly because I'll be able to get real time feedback and mostly because of my existing experiences. No canned tune is going to be perfect and seeing what happens on my specific vehicle (CAI, Headers, Exhaust) in real time is going to remove all the guess work out of things and never again the need to be reliant on the only thing Hypertech offers, the butt meter which you provide yourself.

Just went to the Superchips web site and can not find anything on this unit. Am I blind? Where are you all getting your information from? Please provide links to your information. I'm VERY interested in getting on the list for one of these!

I checked the Superchips site as well and didn't find anything. There are various sites that have the full Superchips press release posted and it's in this thread in it's entirety as well. The images posted are from the company who does Superchips media fulfillment and I'm sure there is some blind link to the press release if you want to do the detective work.
Also, as stated there is a very large performance dealer local to me that had the thing SKU'd up on there web site and I was able to place an order for the product this morning.

Hypertech has their Hyperpac tuner which some day might be available for the JK. It still doesn't have all the performance features of the Superchips Flashpaq on other platforms and will be well behind what Superchips has slated for the JK.
Superchips has the chrysler ECM figured out way better than anyone. That includes the Diablo Programmer although for heavily modified vehicles (which the parts aren't available for the JK) the Diablo would be a better choice. Just the same there are options for the JK that haven't available elsewhere as a portion of Superchips offering.
I should be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to test both at the same time, real world stuff, and be able to post my findings. However the funny thing is that I'll need to use the Superchips for all the data logging because you can't get that out of a Hypertech Max Energy.

If I were you, I would let some knucklehead like myself run them together side by side and post their experiences before I made a purchase.
