We look forward to seeing your there... we will have both our Test Mule JK and our new supercharged TJ there.

The 3.8l V6 is a little powerhouse once its set up right. Nothing demonstrates this more than the 6spd JK's. If you look at the Dyno sheets you'll see 20more rear wheel HP right from 1800rpm. Most owners really don't grasp how much power is being soaked up by the drive train in a automatic JK. Narrow angle V6's are not very volumetrically efficient at low RPM. In fact they don't really move a lot of air at all. In order for a blower to work efficiently it needs to meet the aeobatic efficiency of the engine... (air cross over points) in this case the cross over point is 2200rpm not 1500rpm - pumping boost in sooner than the cross over point can case the heads to lift, intake to split and head gasket to blow.... It also creates more cylinder head temps which is why they require c an air intercooler in most cases water to air.

Speaking of which - both Water to Air (WA) and Air to Air (AA) intercoolers use heat exchangers to do the cooling. The most common AA front mounted uses air to cool the aluminum fins, the argument is if you're crawling at 2mph or idling it actually works against you because it heat soaks and raises air temps. Furthermore if you do a water crossing the tight fins turn into a filter and cleans the creek of the the dirt and debris and clogs up, which again heat soaks. Lastly - what if a boost pipe pops off while mashing the throttle through that water crossing, its an instant hydro-lock - you've lowered your throttle body inlet to below the headlights a situation we could not see ourselves wanting to be in.

The WA has the same issues, they mount a small heat exchanger up front which is smaller than and intercooler but subject to the same fail points - Additionally it adds the worry and complexity of water hoses to and from a pump in and out of the intercooler again subjecting it to failing... both of these systems also crowd the engine bay leaving less room for other mods like on board air and such.

On the contrary our system is efficient in that it only cools when your in boost, meaning its always ready to cool and cools more effectively than the conventional type of intercoolers... but there's the added benefit in that it adds octane and oxygen at the same time... there's little chance of it clogging of failing ad its mounted as high as the throttle body.

But the most important point of all is that the all our competitors absolutely require the use of an intercooler - whereas our does not.

With reference to the remapping of the ECU - We've explained that the the ECU in the JK is rather impressive in that it can adapt to different situations. In doing so, when you re-map this ECU it does a funny thing in returning back to stock. Our system does not do this we do not remap the ECU which is a strong point as many of our clients have attested. Your JK will run for the most part like stock but with more power.

Questions always welcome,
RIPPTECH
