So, I was going to do a quick comparision of Sprintex dyno vs RIPP... interesting enough, I can't find any data on RIPP for RPMS between 1000 and 2500. All of their data is from 2700 rpms and higher. RIPP, can you show me your dyno data from idle through the entire power curve. Thanks

Our vehicle tested is an Automatic, Not a manual for the higher glory number, we are at the mercy of the torque converter. @2000 RPM you can expect @40% more TQ to the wheels.

RIPP

This is very interesting. I have a manual and 3.6L. After looking at the few dyno charts out there, I too couldn't find anything on RIPP for the lower RPM. In addition, I have always been told that the roots type charger (Magnuson) will produce more torque off the bottom. Before I buy a Magnuson (I'd rather RIPP as it is better tested), can you compare the torque and HP curve from 1000-2500 RPM between the two for those of us with manual transmission? I spend my time crawling in the rocks, so it's low RPM torque that I care about. I want all the glory to happen by 2500 rpm and the action to start imemdiately

My buddy has the non intercooled ripp on his 2010 3.8 jk which is a manual. His supercharger feels non existent off the line but then kicks in hard at about 2500-2700 rpm. Where as my new sprintex is immediate and then backs off at about 3000 rpms. I know its a different engine than yours but I would imagine it would be similar.

That's what I thought. The 3.6L obviously lacks displacement. I rarely see anything past 3k rpm. I need something that will spin 40s on one ton axles from 1000-2500. It's a fat JK, I bought it knowing that merging onto the highway would be a long process!

yup... and that is why I prefer screws over spool. You get the power where you need it. If I was driving on a track, or did a lot of high rpm highway driving, then a spool would be an ideal solution. But my Jeep really lacks power at the lower end. That is where I need the power. Sprintex does that. At 1200 rpms you are seeing a 50 ft-lbs of torque jump and by the time you hit 2k rpms you are seeing 70 ft-lbs of torque. At 2700 RPMs I am hitting 80mph. That is about as fast I like to drive my aerodynamic Brick uhmmm I meen jeep.

This is for the 3.8. I can't imagine what the benefit is for the 3.6.

Dang! The price on the Sprintex is almost too good to pass up. Sucks my 3.8 has 140K & burns a shit ton of oil or I'd be all over this!
