I have been wondering about the S/Cing of the Jeeps too. I am from the turbo world and would rather build a turbo kit for one. Has anyone looked into using ProEFI, BS3 or Holly efi stand alone PCMs and harness for the newer jeeps. Seems like would be the way to go. I would much rather have a properly sized turbo than a s/c any day.

Great replies.

I think that the problem with any stand-alone ecu's is OBD, emissions and getting gauges and everything else to work.

Well the PRO EFI and the BS3 both will support any and all sensor functions and mirrors the OBD. Emissions I refuse to live in those communist area where that is tested LOL. As far as gauges those should all be able to use the after market harness. But a Racepack dash would be way cooler with a ton more functions. All that said it would be hard to justify ripping out the factory harness and ecu with swapping to a LSx based engine.

Well worth it, I have been running mine for a few years now, one of the first gen 2 kits. yes there was some tuning problems at the beginning but now all is great.
