As far as the powertrain warranty goes, i talked to the dealership and they said that since there is ne actuall modification to the engine, it came be concidered in the same catagory as a cold air intake. the dealershp still warantys mine.

I'm in the same boat: would love to get a SC but I'm very concerned about killing the Powertrain Warranty. Now we all know these warranties are very subjective things as the Dealer has a lot of say-so in the matter. Good Dealers will cover your back and lesser Dealers might leave you out to dry. I have read a lot about the RIPP SC and it looks like the real thing.
However, I have done some reading on another site regarding this 3.8 we have. It says it has never done well with moderate boost as the lower end blows up and therefore they mate the 3.8 to the A604 tranny (they say, our auto tranny is a modified version of the A604). Apparently, they protect the 3.8 by mating it to a tranny that will blow-up before the engine takes any significant damage.
Can anybody at RIPP or the other SC vendors speak to this concern?

We have been doing extensive testing and data logging in extreme heat, specifically in the desert. We've logged 44000 miles on our Automatic test mule. It have towed a 4000lb trailer several times for 200 miles. It runs on 37"s and 5:13's with no problem. When we log we look for trans temps on the mechanical side but more importantly the safety features triggered on the electronics side as its on your side.

In our opinion the trans ecu in this truck thou annoying at times is really smart... as we mentioned in other threads properly matched gearing to tire size is critical for a safe drive-train , over looking this will cost you power and will more likely trip safety features - BUT NOT BLOW UP, having taken it apart we are very confident in the integrity of the transmission, but time will tell.
