i dont have the ripp unit but i do have a vortech unit in my 02 mustang..i can vouch that the actual supercharger is top notch and if anything happens while under warranty vortech wiil replace any parts free of charge..but most likely you will not need it..idk if RIPP offers it but look into maybe gettin an after cooler from vortech made a real difference in performace and ease of mind...cant wait to get mine for the jeep!

Thanks man, I am looking forward to it. I did get the intercooler with it too. Without it it is not as reliable?! do people actually run them without it?

im not as intune with these jk engines as mustangs..but i would assume reliability without the cooler is just as good..but it will add power bc the supercharger is being made more efficient with the cooler air..you should see a little higher boost level(1-2psi) as well...i dont know what the bottom end of these engines can handle im assuming not much..but if your able to forge the bottom end?? you are looking at an extremely beast rig and will probably be able to take most cars off the line!!

Thanks again, after a bit of a conversation with the RIPP guys, they said its usually the crank bearings that take brunt.

They went ahead now after 40,000 hard miles trying to break the thing, they couldnt. They took motor apart and no pitting on pistons yadda yadda.... they said it realy looks like the non RIPP 40k plus motor.

Yeah there are times to see hat she's got.... like first time driving, then novelty will wear off, then knowing its there when we need to get inthe right lane after a brain fart of being in wrong lane!

I hope its hear by Tues. to have and test on 14 hour drive to NJ for T'giving.
